Last week for tickets for this incredible event and it looks like a sell-out! Join us this Saturday at the NB Whaling Museum and enjoy signature seafood dishes by the area’s top chefs, an open bar, silent and live auction, and Jazz by Peter Arteaga. Keynote speaker, Congressman Barney Frank, will be speaking at 7 pm. Tours of the Seamen’s Bethel and Mariners’ Home are available from 6 to 7 pm.
“Taste of the Port” is co-hosted by the NB Port Society, WHALE, and the Working Waterfront Festival to benefit the Port Society Complex renovation project. All event proceeds will be used to restore, preserve and make accessible the Seamen’s Bethel and Mariners’ Home and create a Fishermen’s Heritage Center.
Participating restaurants and chefs are: M&C Café, Morton’s Fork Catering, Chef Henry Bousquet, SeaFire Grillhouse, Fathoms, How on Earth, Freestones, Dorothy Cox Chocolates, Turks, and Tia Marias.
Many thanks to the NB Whaling Museum for use of their venue to support the project and to American Pride Seafood and Bergie’s Seafood for donating fresh seafood.
