Partners in Preservation are recognized on our website, donor/member communications and receive invitations to ribbon cuttings, soirees, and other donor events.
Maximize Your Donation:
All donations to WHALE $1,000 and above are eligible for the Community Investment Tax Credit (CITC) Program offering individuals, corporations, and nonprofit institutions the opportunity to obtain a 50% Massachusetts state tax credit, reducing your out-of-pocket donation by half. If you use a donor advised fund, please be aware that not all donor advised funds are CITC eligible.
How?
Each year, the state provides WHALE with a finite number of Massachusetts tax credits for our contributors to use to offset their state tax liability. Half of your Partner in Preservation contribution (or $1,000 or more) will be returned to you as a state tax credit. Out-of-State donors will receive a 50% cash rebate. If the credit exceeds your liability, the state refunds the balance of the credit.
