Stephanie Poyant Moran is this year’s chairwoman of WHALE’s Wine Festival & Auction. A New Bedford native, Stephanie is Public Information Officer & New Media Specialist at Southcoast Health System; she worked in the office of former Mayor Scott W. Lang prior to joining Southcoast. Stephanie and her husband Ross are heavily involved in the community: she chairs the New Bedford YMCA Board of Managers and is a member of the Fort Taber Fort Rodman Military Museum Board of Directors. Ross is the Assistant Director of Parks Recreation and Beaches in New Bedford. Both have volunteered at past Wine Festivals.
“Stephanie’s a terrific leader,” said Wendy Nicholas, Interim Executive Director of WHALE. “She’s getting a great new group of people involved with WHALE, including many of her family members. She’s bringing great energy and fresh ideas to this event.”

It is our committee’s goal to make this year’s event bigger and better then the last. WHALE is an essential part of our city’s revitalization efforts. This event showcases and supports WHALE’s tireless work to preserve and restore our community’s historic and architectural treasures.
