WHALE Members will have a chance to hear the inspiring story of Providence’s preservation achievements and the transformation that has taken place in neighborhoods citywide. Clark Schoettle, long-time Executive Director of the Providence Revolving Fund, will keynote WHALE’s 2013 Annual Meeting on August 28th. One of the nation’s most accomplished historic preservation leaders, Mr. Schoettle has led the historic real estate development work of the Providence Revolving Fund since 1983. In that time, they have renovated 425 houses and commercial buildings and inspired the renovation of many more. They have grown the fund from its original $300,000 to its current $13 million in capital. In the process, whole neighborhoods have been transformed and new vitality brought to Downtown.
