Please join us in helping to welcome LISC AmeriCorps service member Teresa Willander to the WHALE team. Teresa is a recent Regis College graduate, hoping to pursue a career in advocacy and non-profit work. Immediately after graduation, she embarked on a 2000-mile solo thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail, which was a physically and mentally challenging experience and a period of deep personal growth. Teresa will be serving at WHALE and the Community Economic Development Center (CEDC) as project coordinator. She will be providing assistance on WHALE restoration projects, helping with our foreclosure restoration for first-time home-buyers, as well as recruiting and managing community volunteers to help CEDC on various projects to help promote economic development along Acushnet Avenue.
